Hostirr

Hostirr is a two-sided community cloud: hosts install an outbound-only agent on spare machines and publish capacity, while renters browse the marketplace and launch durable, metered spaces. The product includes encrypted storage, interactive shells, host and renter consoles, audit trails, fleet updates, and tiered workload isolation.

Its control plane is written in Go with PostgreSQL and gRPC/mTLS agent transport. Nuxt powers the marketplace and admin interfaces, while workloads can use hardened containers, gVisor, or Kata microVMs according to the host's capabilities. Hostirr is in active development, with its private alpha currently limited to me and friends while the security and trust model is hardened.
